Dr. Dharmesh Patel was charged with three counts of attempted murder. Patel was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and mental health experts said his driving off the cliff was caused by a psychotic break. Despite objections by prosecutors, after he completed the mental health diversion program, all charges have been dismissed against the 45-year-old California radiologist and that has generated an uproar.
