The issue has also made it onto the 2016 campaign trail where Republican frontrunner Dr. Ben Carson said he would focus on settling the Syrian refugees "over there." "I do not believe that we should be bringing them here," Carson said in Nevada today. "It would be too easy to embed within them those who were members of the jihadist group who would be interested in wreaking havoc in this country.
