Three federal trial judges have temporarily blocked the policy. The administration wants to circumvent the appeals courts to reach a speedier resolution.
2.) Three U.S. soldiers were killed by a Taliban roadside bomb on Tuesday. The Afghan president has begun negotiating peace talks with Taliban insurgents to end the 17-year war.
3.) Russia seized three Ukrainian naval ships and their crews in the Black Sea on Monday. Tensions between Russia and Ukraine have been simmering since 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea. President Trump is threatening to cancel an upcoming meeting with Russia president Putin at the G-20 summit.
