1:56Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump is “very concerned about the outcomes in 2026,” The Dispatch’s Stephen Hayes told Washington Week moderator Jeffrey Goldberg.
Hayes suggested that Trump’s primetime address last Thursday was less about the 2020 election and election security and more about “what’s to come,” setting up what we might see from Trump moving forward.
“He doesn't want to be impeached. He believes that if Democrats take the House, they will move to impeach him quickly,” Hayes said. “He's done a number of things in his past that suggest he's very open to interfering in the elections in the months to come.”
