2:11Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump is increasingly seeing the war in Iran as a “headache” and a “political liability,” The New York Times’ Zolan Kanno-Youngs says, noting recent reporting.
“He’s searching for ways to get out of a war that he started, and that has gone on far longer than he initially, at least, said that it would go on for," Kanno-Youngs told Washington Week moderator Jeffrey Goldberg.
Kanno-Youngs added that goals have shifted from what the president “laid out when he initially made the case, belatedly, to go to war with Iran.”
