Transcript: Let’s talk about something that is happening in this current U.S. Presidential election that is NOT getting enough publicity. It’s something that would have sunk any other candidate in any other political climate.
Donald Trump is being openly and vigorously supported and endorsed by racist white supremacist groups. When I say supported, I don’t just mean they’re fond of the beautiful and unnatural glowing orange hue of his face or that they are having dinner parties at which they discuss the perceived virtues of “getting rid of all them damn Mexicans and Muslims.” When I say SUPPORT, I mean SUPPORT. They are giving of their time and TREASURE to see that Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of these United States.
David Duke has thrown his crazed xenophobic segregationist support behind Donald Trump. If you’ve forgotten or are unfamiliar with David Duke… He is the former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. He wasn’t THIS kind of wizard or even THIS kind of wizard. He was THIS. Kind. of Wizard.
I don’t know whether to be consumed with sadness or anger. It is 2016. It’s 2016 and there are still petty little men like this who are filled with hate and afraid of people simply because they look different from them.
If that’s not enough for you, how ‘bout this? There are “white nationalist” or “white separatist” groups that are raising money through a SuperPAC called American National Super PAC. This SuperPAC is run by a racist named William Johnson and he is spending the PAC’S money in the way of advertisement robocalls like this one…
It would be bad enough if I stopped right here. To me, though… This isn’t even the worst part. The worst part of all of this is the fact that Donald Trump KNOWS about these groups and their hate fueled agenda AND of their allegiance to him through ideology. He KNOWS and has virtually done NOTHING.
Does THAT seem like a guy who doesn’t want their support and endorsement? Or does that seems like a guy who glossed over the question as quickly as he could? My question would be, does Donald Trump seem to be accepting their support and endorsement silently rather than coming out in no uncertain terms and not only distancing himself from these monsters, but loudly and boldly speaking directly to them and telling them they are wrong, hateful, and that their support and endorsements are UNWANTED. I’ll tell you now… I won’t be holding my breath waiting on the likes of Donald Trump to do the noble thing.
