as posted by the channelThis is a rebuttal to a series of programs from 1991 where Dr. Horton appeared on Austin's public access show Christian Answers to promote his book The Agony of Deceit. In that book and in those episodes Horton condemned Word of Faith teaching and teachers, but his facts were often wrong and he consistently misrepresented WoF teaching.
He presented Jimmy Swaggart as Word of Faith.
He said that Swaggart, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, and Paul Crouch all deny the doctrine of the Trinity.
He said that WoF teachers deny the eternal sonship of Jesus.
He said that Kenneth Hagin said that Jesus was united with the devil.
He said that E. W. Kenyon was a member of a theosophical church.
He claims that the WoF is Gnosticism.
He says that Kenyon's family sued Kenneth Hagin.
He says that Kenneth Hagin taught that believers are as much deity as Jesus.
He and the show's host Larry Wessels say that Kenneth Hagin said that preachers would be struck dead if they don't accept his teachings.
He said that the "little gods" doctrine (which Kenneth Hagin didn't teach) is the central doctrine in the WoF.
He said that Oral Roberts didn't attend college.
He presented James Robison as a faith healer.
