His bureau has also seen the dramatic reassignment of thousands of agents to immigration enforcement.
At the Department of Homeland Security, former Secretary KRISTI NOEM reduced the staff of its Office of Intelligence and Analysis that would ordinarily focus on the kind of threats posed by Iran.
Also, under Trump, the National Counterterrorism Center has shifted its focus to more directly address drug enforcement and the Latin American cartels the administration has designated as foreign terrorist organizations.
