Iran Quagmire Grows

On tonight’s show I’ll be discussing the increasingly dangerous and deeply unpopular war with Iran -- including Trump’s threat to attack Iranian bridges and power plants if Tehran strikes shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, the massive new deployment of American special-operations forces, fighter jets, bombers, weapons and medical personnel to the region, and the growing human and economic cost as American troops are killed and oil prices soar.

I’ll also look at new polling showing that Trump’s Iran war is already one of the most unpopular conflicts in modern American history, and the bizarre new nuclear deal Trump is offering Saudi Arabia -- apparently without tying it to peace with Israel, while potentially allowing uranium enrichment without the usual safeguards. What exactly are we getting in return, and could this push Iran even closer to building a nuclear weapon?

I’ll also be discussing the Justice Department’s decision to send federal agents to monitor polling places in three Arizona counties, Marco Rubio’s refusal to confront China over election interference, and Trump’s plan to double or even triple the price of imported generic drugs in the name of boosting domestic manufacturing -- even though 90 percent of generic medicines rely on foreign ingredients.

Plus, Trump’s multibillion-dollar lawsuit against the BBC just took a dangerous turn for him, with a judge ruling that Trump’s business finances -- along with questions about his intentions and actions on January 6 -- may now be fair game in discovery.

And I’ll be covering the latest from Mali, where both al-Qaeda- and ISIS-linked forces could benefit, and Sebastian Gorka’s involvement; Trump and Rubio’s refusal to block the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate despite the brothers’ extensive MAGA connections; Trump’s apparent desire to nominate FIFA president Gianni Infantino to become the next United Nations secretary-general; and Ukraine’s devastating attacks on four of Russia’s ten largest Wildberries logistics hubs, including one of its most important facilities in Krasnodar -- potentially wiping out thousands of Russian businesses while Wildberries claims force majeure and refuses to compensate them.
