1:15:54Now PlayingOn tonight’s show I’ll be discussing the latest signs that Donald Trump’s war with Iran is unraveling. Trump claimed the mines in the Strait of Hormuz had been cleared, but U.S. allies reportedly say a significant number are still there. NBC News is also reporting that Iran inflicted billions of dollars in damage on American intelligence sites across the Middle East.
But perhaps the biggest story is what Trump knew before he went to war. According to the Wall Street Journal, Tulsi Gabbard briefed Trump that killing Iran’s leader could bring an even more hard-line regime to power, while U.S. intelligence warned that Iran could close the Strait of Hormuz, destabilize energy markets and attack U.S. forces and allies. Trump has repeatedly claimed nobody warned him. Apparently, they did.
I’ll also be discussing Trump’s latest victory in his effort to restrict mail-in voting, a Texas judge striking down the state’s anti-drag law -- with an assist from Dolly Parton -- Texas fighting Minnesota over the extradition of an ICE agent accused of shooting an immigrant, Trump’s bizarre “she really liked me” reaction to Dolly Parton, and a spectacular Good Liars exchange with an anti-vaxxer who accidentally explains why the polio vaccine works.
Plus, Hungary calls Russia a threat, Dmytro Kuleba may be headed to Washington, and in the audience Q&A we get into Canada’s trade retaliation, Ukraine, whether Canada could ever join the EU, Eurovision, American Samoa versus Guam, and the strange tax situation in Puerto Rico.
