1:08:20Now PlayingOn tonight’s show I’ll be discussing the latest escalation with Iran, after the U.S. bombed Iranian forces preparing to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz and Iran retaliated by firing ballistic missiles at a Jordanian air base housing U.S. troops.
Trump is now considering additional strikes as Iran rebuilds its military capabilities in the strait -- while posting an AI video of Kharg Island supposedly being “blown to smithereens.”
The fighting is already hitting Americans at home, with oil prices rising and the 10-year Treasury yield reaching 4.75%, putting more pressure on mortgages and other borrowing costs. Meanwhile, Trump says the economy could somehow grow at 20% without the Fed raising rates.
I’ll also look at the Pentagon hiring conservative influencers, Trump inviting Russia’s finance minister to the U.S., the collapse in IRS audit collections after Trump’s staffing cuts, the extraordinary case of a U.S.-born citizen who was deported to Mexico, the latest Supreme Court fight over Trump’s ballroom, and Trump’s continuing effort to blame everyone but himself for the Reflecting Pool mess.
