REALISTIC PANTRY ORGANIZATION TIPS:

1. Utilize the space you have (from a tiny cupboard to walk in pantry) with organizers and baskets. You can find very reasonably priced ones at Walmart and Dollar Tree. These organizers are awesome too! I love using clear acrylic personally, and move them around from my fridge to my pantry. I pulled less efficiently used ones from my fridge, and purchased only 5 glass containers for the new flour.

2. Find one "attractive" or eye catching organizer to use in the middle. Whether you add dimension by using a tiered organizer, adding a decorative plate or bowl, displaying a basket you love, or using glass containers like I did, you will add a "beauty" element that will make the space (big or small) look more beautiful. Storing food so they are categorized and symmetrical will make a big difference in functionality and appearance as well.

3. Build as you can. Build your pantry with ingredients and items as you can. Don't feel like you have to go out and spend a bunch of money to ensure you are "fully stocked". Buy an extra ketchup or pasta box or bag of flour when you can. Keep an eye on the pantry list and your inventory, and if you see any items on sale for the week or month pick 1 or 2 up. Don't get into this mindset that your pantry or food stock has to be "dooms day" level. You can be fully stocked with a reasonable amount of food built at a slow pace. Slowly build with organizers as well. I have slowly bought acrylic organizers throughout the last 6 years. I store them both in my fridge and my pantry. Spread your purchases out, and buy 1 organizer as you can afford it, or as you need it. I repeat, BUILD SLOWLY (food and organizers!)
