1:04Now PlayingThe federal government is right to crack down on sanctuary cities. In the process of flouting the law, these cities wind up creating havens for criminal predators. The Center for Immigration Studies found in 2014 Sanctuary jurisdictions released more than 8,100 deportable aliens. Of those, 62% had a prior criminal record 3,000 were convicted felons. Of those released, 1,900 were later rearrested a total of 4,300 times on 7,500 different offenses.
