1:07Now PlayingSchool choice has many benefits. It frees families to make choices that will best serve their needs, it makes educators more accountable and it typically leads to improved academic outcomes. But the government should not push choice in a nationwide program- that would snuff out competition among differing choice policies including vouchers and education savings accounts. We can glimpse what that might look like in higher education where federal student aid makes students dependent on Washington. We need to keep the government’s regulatory tentacles out of the education system.
