Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on the history of Medieval Europe continues with a video in which we will talk about the history behind Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. The reign of Wenceslas IV and the Bohemian Crisis marked a turning point in medieval Central Europe. As King of Bohemia and former Holy Roman Emperor, Wenceslas struggled to maintain stability amid rising noble opposition and internal conflicts. This video explores Bohemia’s Place in the Holy Roman Empire, tracing its historical significance from its elevation to a kingdom under the Přemyslid dynasty to its golden age under Charles IV. However, Wenceslas' rule was plagued by noble unrest, leading to the formation of the League of Lords and growing tensions within the kingdom. His conflicts with the nobility escalated into Civil War and the Fall of Wenceslas, ultimately leading to his deposition as emperor. As unrest continued, the political landscape of Bohemia set the stage for events that would inspire Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
