The first video
Everyone knows that Germany has an awful Bureaucracy. More than just a stereotype or joke, life in Germany means that eventually you will have to undergo a somewhat humiliating ritual of submitting yourself to the German Paper god and his wimbs. In the previous video we discussed the opposing political forces of Prussian Militarism and the decentralised state of the Holy Roman Empire. Both these forces pushed into different political directions. One in pursuit of a decentralised state of regional autonomy, the other pushing toward a highly centralised and militarised state. In the process creating an expansive bureaucracy. Eventually the Prussian vision of a highly centralised state came out on top, but only to lead Germany and the wider world into two catastrophes. In this video we examine how out of the ashes of these catastrophes the decentralised German state eventually came to triumph.
