as posted by the channelDetectives in Laredo, Texas discovered 19-year-old Brianna Ramos and her mother, Sylvia Ramos, murdered inside their apartment, each killed in different but violent ways. Prosecutors proved Sylvia’s boyfriend, Rene Mendez, strangled Brianna to death, left the apartment, then returned and waited for Sylvia before stabbing her nearly 55 times. Mendez was later found at a nearby motel after an apparent overdose attempt and was convicted in 2025 on two counts of first-degree murder, receiving a life sentence in prison.
