Coe first said she thought her husband, Luther “Luke” Lee Coe III, was an intruder and fired in fear. After a weeklong trial in August 2025, a jury convicted Coe of malice murder, felony murder, and aggravated assault in Georgia, and she was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
