as posted by the channelA dispute between roommates in a Michigan group home escalated into a brutal beating after a late-night argument over missing Taco Bell, leaving 72-year-old Dale Mitchell fatally injured. Police say Mark Newsome, who was initially uninvolved, was pulled into the conflict and ultimately attacked Mitchell, later claiming self-defense amid ongoing tensions and alleged prior aggression in the home. Newsome was arrested, later pleaded no contest to manslaughter, and was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison for what the judge called an incredibly senseless crime.
