After unsuccessfully trying to persuade her husband to leave, she drove to the residence on Dearth Road and fired eight rounds from a .40 caliber handgun, striking innocent bystander Daniel Johnson, 29, in the abdomen as he sat on the porch. Clendenin was convicted of attempted murder and related charges, and sentenced to 16 to 20.5 years in prison
