She explained that her relationship with Markel was rocky, ultimately leading her to end their marriage. Wendi Adelson's brother, Charlie Adelson, has been sentenced to life behind bars in connection with the professors death. Magbanua, Adelson's lover at the time of Markel's murder, was also sentenced to life.
