Walter Murphy, the alleged co-founder of YSL, told the jury about the start of the music group and whether or not it turned into a gang. Murphy went to prison for seven years for his involvement in an April 2015 shooting. He was named in the YSL indictment and took a plea deal in December 2022. Rapper Young Thug is believed to be the leader of the alleged gang and facing RICO charges.
