25:11Now PlayingIn a hearing Friday, Sarah Boone fought to get her handcuffs removed during pre-trial hearings and worked to sort out how she would be restrained during her trial. A judge ruled that during hearings, she won’t need to wear handcuffs, but she will need to be shackled at the feet. At her trial, she won’t be handcuffed or shackled, but she will be required to wear a stun-cuff which she’ll need to sign a waiver for. Boone is representing herself in her boyfriend’s murder trial after eight public defenders were either fired or excused themselves from the case.

Florida woman Sarah Boone is accused of killing her boyfriend after she allegedly zipped him up inside a suitcase and left him to die. Jorge Torres Jr. suffocated to death inside Boone’s Winter Park home. Boone claims they were playing hide-and-seek, she forgot he was inside the suitcase, and she fell asleep. Video evidence from the night of Torres Jr.’s death shows the victim inside the suitcase yelling for help while Boone records the video and laughs. Boone called 911 the next day saying her boyfriend was dead. She was arrested for second-degree murder.
