Throughout his testimony, the state questioned him about video surveillance he collected while investigating the murder of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. The footage allegedly shows Telles in his car, driving, and walking prior to and after German’s murder. Mogg testified that the video surveillance clearly details Telles driving to German’s neighborhood, walking to his home, attacking the reporter outside the home, walking back to his car, then eventually driving away.

Robert Telles is accused of murdering Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. After German had written several articles about Telles, a public administrator at the time, he was found stabbed to death outside his home in September 2022. Prosecutors claim Telles’ DNA was found under German’s fingernails. Telles has pleaded not guilty and says he was framed for the murder.
