29:43Now PlayingBryan Kohberger faced the new judge presiding over his murder trial in a court hearing Thursday. During the hearing, Judge Steve Hippler pushed for a May 2025 trial date instead of waiting until June, stating he has concerns that a trial that is expected to last all summer could impact jurors who have children that are out of school. Prosecutors said they were okay with an earlier trial date, but the defense pushed back, preferring a September trial. The judge did not rule on whether or not Kohberger can wear "street clothes," aka a suit and tie, in future hearings, but confirmed he will rule on the matter in a closed hearing before the next public hearing.
