Treveno Campbell, the man convicted of killing a Memphis police officer Martoiya Lang, was sentenced to 40 years in prison on March 28, 2017. Campbell was sentenced to 25 years on the charge of second-degree murder. He was also sentenced on several other charges. On December 14th, 2012, Officer Lang was shot and killed while executing a search warrant at a drug house. The police officer was a mother of four young girls.
