COPY: Frank Mebane III, Mindi’s dad, took the stand on Thursday to discuss his daughter’s death. He said he left before Thanksgiving in 2022, and he never saw his daughter again after that. Mindi’s husband, Nicholas, told her family that she died in the hospital after being treated for high blood pressure. There was no death certificate, and the family was not able to see their daughter. Nicholas also told the family that they were unable to have a memorial service for Mindi because the “security team” had said so.
