28:51Now PlayingFrank Mebane III, the victim’s dad, took the stand on Thursday. He discussed his daughter and Nicholas’s relationship and how they were both afraid for their safety all the time. He said that Mindi was always afraid for her safety and that the couple had a “security team.” Nicholas informed Mindi’s family that they were only permitted to discuss topics pre-approved by the security team. All of the communication with the security team was conducted via email.
