YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe defense delivered its opening statement Tuesday in the capital murder trial of Tanner Horner. Earlier in the day, Horner pleaded guilty to the 2022 kidnapping and murder of 7-year-old Athena Strand. Defense attorneys argued that Horner suffers from significant mental health issues and permanent brain injuries sustained prior to his birth. They contend these pre-existing conditions played a critical role in the events that led to the child’s death in November 2022.
