Kovac reportedly heard that a child, identified as JT, had a gun at school and she reportedly told Dr. Parker, the assistant principal, about her concerns. Kovac reported that JT was “acting weird and out of character” the day of the shooting. Parker is on trial for eight counts of felony child neglect for not preventing a first-grade student from shooting a teacher.
