Thurman recalled reaching out to her daughter’s boyfriend, Eugene Louis-Jacques, 15-18 times after not hearing from Couch, but never got a response. Police eventually showed up to Thurman’s home to notify her that her car, which Couch used, was found engulfed in flames, to which she responded, “Where is my child?” Eugene Louis-Jacques is facing murder, aggravated assault, and second-degree arson charges in connection with Couch’s death.
