During the trial against Blaise Taylor, who is accused of poisoning Benning and killing her and their unborn child, the analyst told jurors that cocaine and other controlled substances were not detected in any of the items submitted for testing. However, she acknowledged that if a container had been washed before being collected, it could potentially affect the ability to detect substances.
