Judge Tony Graf found prosecutor Christopher Ballard in civil contempt for publicly stating there was "ample evidence" to prove Robinson's guilt before trial. Judge Graf also rejected the defense’s request to bar prosecutors from seeking the death penalty. Robinson faces charges, including aggravated murder in the assassination of the conservative political activist. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 6.
