She and her ex-boyfriend, Kiyon Benton, are facing charges for the death of 2-year-old Karter Ambrose. The state claims that the toddler was murdered by the two people who were supposed to care for him and that this was not an accident. Prosecutors allege Davis and Benton beat the toddler with an unknown object, causing fatal injuries, including a lacerated liver.
