Donna is accused in the murder of Dan Markel, a former FSU law professor and her ex-son-in-law.
Luis Rivera and Sigfredo Garcia were convicted of being the hitmen. Katie Magbanua, Charlie's girlfriend and the mother of Sigfredo's children, was convicted as the go-between. Donna's son Charlie Adelson was convicted of hiring two hitmen to murder Markel. The State is now prosecuting Donna Adelson, saying she was involved as well.
