US President Donald Trump told White House reporters he has been taking the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine to protect himself from Coronavirus, even though there is no scientific evidence it can fight the disease.

Speaking at the White House on Monday, Trump told reporters he'd been taking it for a week and a half, adding: "A lot of good things have come out. You’d be surprised at how many people are taking it, especially the front-line workers. Before you catch it. The front-line workers, many, many are taking it."
