Earlier this month, Home Secretary James Cleverly signed a new treaty with Rwanda, after the Supreme Court found previous plans to be unlawful. It led Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick to resign as a result, but Sunak doubled-down - holding an emergency press-conference urging MPs to back his plan and insisting the new emergency legislation set out by the government would end the 'merry-go-round' of legal challenges over the flights of some asylum seekers to Rwanda.
