as posted by the channelThe Metropolitan Police chief has revealed footage of officers which he says display acts of “extraordinary bravery”.
Sir Mark Rowley joined LBC’s Nick Ferrari at Breakfast, where he shared a selection of clips that show officers working in dangerous scenarios.
This includes clips of people wielding weapons including ‘zombie’ knives and chainsaws, officers rescuing individuals from a burning building, and another that shows an officer patrolling on motorbike being reversed into.
“I visited him in hospital, his pelvis had been fractured,” Sir Rowley told Nick. “It takes a long time for a pelvis to heal.”
The chief praised his officers for continuing to fulfil their duties, but added it was also important to acknowledge the officers whose trauma isn’t caught on camera, such as those working to combat child abuse.
