8:40Now PlayingHamas has approved a list of 34 Israeli hostages to be returned as part of a possible Gaza ceasefire deal, according to an official from the Palestinian group.
However, Israeli spokesperson, David Mencer contests this claim.
A renewed push is under way to reach a ceasefire in the war before US president-elect, Donald Trump takes office on the 20th of January.
It comes after Hamas released a video of a 19 year-old hostage in Gaza.
Israeli Spokesperson David Mencer told Tom Swarbrick, the list of hostages was actually provided to Israel by the mediators back in July 2024.
