The ex-Defence Select Committee Chairman cautioned that 'Trump increasingly aligns with our adversary', adding that he mentioned before the General Election last year, that we should 'bring back a form of national service'.
Tobias Ellwood also added that Trump had the 'audacity' to condemn Russia's continued bombing of Ukraine, given the fact that he paused intelligence sharing with the war-torn country and 'turned off' the missiles.
These comments come just over a week after the US President and Vice President shouted at President Zelenskyy in the White House, with Trump telling him he was 'gambling with World War Three'.
