as posted by the channelFormer British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has told LBC that Donald Trump is more interested in “the fanfare” of deals rather than their outcomes.
His comments come after the Trump Administration said it would abruptly walk away from a Ukraine peace if another ceasefire wasn’t agreed to within days.
“It's really depressing that this administration seems to take the side of Russia,” Wallace said.
“Only a few days ago, Russia murdered lots of people in Sumy by hitting — I think — people at prayer. And the response from Donald Trump was, ‘I understand from the Russians it's a mistake’.
“It wasn’t a mistake.”
The former Defence Secretary added that Trump has a habit of abandoning deals if he can’t clinch a rapid win.
“Trump is here today gone tomorrow, a dealmaker,” Wallace said.
“He's more interested in the fanfare of the deal than the actual long term outcome.”
“The ‘I’ll fix it’ isn’t going to happen.”
