The business coach branded the grant a 'well kept government secret', but Tom challenged her claim by citing the £258 million that was spent in the last financial year.
Tom also takes issue with the fact that an applicant does not need to have an 'official diagnosis' in order to receive a grant from the government.
This comes as Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said she would co-operate with the government on cutting the welfare bill in order to tackle the amount of sick days workers are taking.
