YouTube Description
as posted by the channelEmily Schrader is an Israeli journalist and activist who spoke to LBC about the new Gaza peace deal that Donald Trump has helped broker, alongside Hamas and Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking to Matt Frei, Schrader defended Israel’s role in the peace process so far, blaming Palestinian leaders for ‘rejecting a [Palestinian] state from day one’.
Matt asked if Israel has failed to create the conditions for a two state solution, where Israel and Palestine can coexist. Schrader said this could not be ‘put on’ Israel and that ‘antisemitism’ runs through Palestinian society already.
On the Gaza peace deal, Schrader said she has ‘eight out of 10’ confidence on the hostage element of the deal, but is ‘five out of 10’ on the prospect of future peace. Schrader said the hostages return is the most important element of the deal.
In a social media post, Trump confirmed the news saying he believes Hamas is "ready for a lasting peace" and Israel must "stop the bombing of Gaza".
