Sixteen Democratic state attorneys general urged three major donor-advised funds to reconsider their decision to stop or restrict payments to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), arguing that doing so emboldens the Justice Department’s vendetta against Donald Trump’s political enemies. “This decision raises serious concerns that you are allowing the DOJ’s selective political targeting of a charity to impact your donor-advised giving decisions,” they wrote in a letter.
