BBC hypocrisy - a BBC Drill Rapper murdered boy, 16 - while women jailed over TV licence

The BBC, nicknamed "Aunty" in the UK for its supposed guardianship, has stumbled badly by promoting Jake Fahri, a convicted murderer who killed 16-year-old Jimmy Mizen in 2008.

Released after serving just 14 years, Fahri turned to drill rap, with lyrics openly celebrating his violent past, like "Stuck it on a man and watched him melt like Ben and Jerry's." Despite this, BBC DJ Theo Johnson praised Fahri's work. This oversight not only retraumatized the Mizen family but also allowed Fahri to potentially profit from his crime. The BBC later ceased playing his music - but didn't apologise.

Quite a laissez-faire approach to criminality considering the BBC has mercilessly pursued women for not paying the TV license fee. Women make up 73% of the 34,000 annual prosecutions for this "crime", with nearly a third of all female convictions in the UK being for this offense. It's a stark contrast to the leniency shown towards internal scandals, particularly with its history of harbouring nonces.
