A sitting member of Parliament was banned from Bangor University debating society because she is a member of Reform, which the society thinks is homophobic and racist. This will no doubt come as alarming news to the ethnic and gay reform candidates.
This hints at a huge problem with political bias in academia, with groupthink rigidly enforced. This doesn't just make life difficult for conservatives. It also means that you can't trust academic findings - unless they're from somebody who's been accused of bigotry.
Anyone else could be lying to stay within the acceptable bounds of speech.
