A few users even sent her death threats over a recent Instagram post, where Nusrat posed as the Hindu Goddess Durga. The main backlash was because Nusrat comes from a Muslim background, and later married a Hindu man. Comments exhibited a great disdain for her celebration of Durga, for example: “Shame on you for doing this as a Muslim. You have no shame left in you. You are condemned to go to Jahannam (Hell). No shame. Allah is watching everything,” and “Your time of death has come. Fear Allah. Can’t you keep your body covered?”
