21:00Now PlayingTens of thousands of people recently marched through Dhaka, the Bangladeshi capital, demanding a boycott of French goods amid the outrage that was sparked over France's toughening stance on Islamism and Islamic separatism. Police estimated that about 40,000 people took part in the march, organized by Islami Andolan Bangladesh, one of Bangladesh's largest Islamist parties. The crowd burned an effigy of French President Emmanuel Macron, who has defended the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. Bangladeshi Police blocked the marchers from reaching the French embassy. "Macron is one of the few leaders who worship Satan," senior Islami Andolan leader Ataur Rahman told the protesters.
