An ICE agent named Christian Castro shot Julio Cesar Sosa Solis through a closed door in Minneapolis. Against every use of force policy in American law enforcement. He lied about it — claiming the man charged at him with a shovel. A Ring doorbell camera across the street proved he was lying. He was indicted. An arrest warrant was issued.
Then Greg Abbott intervened.
The state of Texas refused to extradite Castro to Minnesota to face justice. ICE played games transferring him from duty station to duty station. The fugitive warrant expired today. Christian Castro is a free man. And we still don't know if he has gone back to working for ICE.
Michael Fanone — former DC Metropolitan Police officer and January 6th survivor — joins Maya May on The Revolution to break down what this case tells us about the two tiered justice system taking shape in America. They want you to know they can lie and get away with it. That is the message. And it is demoralizing by design.
But the antidote to despair is action. Maya and Michael go through the resources and organizations that have been on the show — Black Voters Matter voter toolbox, polling place finder, voter registration tools — because the midterms are coming and the levers of power can still be shifted.

Farmers who voted for Trump now competing with uninspected foreign beef because of Trump's bromance with Milei. RFK Jr. Michael Fanone's vision board — I just want to eat food without getting sick. I don't want to be shot by an ICE agent for doing nothing. I want some personal freedom. I don't want to be surveilled by my government. That is not too much to ask.
