Has Blake Neff finally gone too far? A circulating social-media post attributed to him used the grotesque construction “coonspiracyslop” while attacking Candace Owens. Critics understandably read that formulation as smuggling a notorious anti-Black slur into a supposedly clever insult. Whether Neff now claims coincidence, wordplay or misunderstood intent is almost beside the point. A professional political communicator knows precisely how language works, especially when targeting a prominent Black woman in the middle of an already vicious public feud.
This is not occurring in a vacuum. Neff resigned from Fox News in 2020 after reports exposed years of anonymous racist, sexist and homophobic posts. Fox executives described that conduct as horrific and said it would not be tolerated. That history makes the latest wording not merely careless but institutionally radioactive. It raises the unavoidable question of why TPUSA entrusted him with a public-facing role in the first place.
TPUSA cannot preach courage, Christian character and cultural accountability while applying a private exemption to its own operatives. If the organization would demand resignations from opponents for comparable language, it must apply the same standard internally. Anything less looks like hypocrisy, cowardice and passive approval.
This could therefore be the moment that ends Neff’s position and permanently damages TPUSA if its leadership refuses to act. The issue is no longer Candace’s theories, personality or disputes with the organization. The issue is whether a TPUSA representative used racially charged language against her and whether management considers that acceptable.
Silence will be interpreted as permission. Evasion will be interpreted as protection. A carefully lawyered explanation will only deepen the insult. TPUSA must investigate immediately, disclose what happened and impose consequences. If it cannot do that, then Neff has not merely gone too far. He has exposed how far TPUSA is willing to follow him into disgrace.
